Full Spectrum Warrior for PS2
THQ working with co-developer Mass Media.
After tours on Xbox and PC, Full Spectrum Warrior is now coming to PlayStation 2. Pandemic Studios, the developer of the game, announced today that it is working with co-developer Mass Media on a version of the critically acclaimed military tactics game for Sony's hardware.
Full Spectrum Warrior began life as a military training tool developed by Pandemic for the US Army, which used it to reinforce sound urban warfare tactics in light infantry recruits.
The game was released on PC and Xbox earlier this year and caught the eye of many a reviewer with its depth of gameplay, advanced AI and frank display of modern warfare.
Full Spectrum Warrior lets players command two four-man infantry squads in a hostile urban environment through 13 varied levels.
Earlier versions featured online play in which two players each took control of one of the squads, but Pandemic has not confirmed whether this feature will survive the transition.
Full Spectrum Warrior is slated to arrive on PlayStation worldwide in early 2005.
