Konami Shows Racing Enthusia
Latest stuff on Konami's racer.
When it comes to realistic driving games on the PlayStation 2, Konami is hoping that you'll think of more than just the oft-delayed Gran Turismo 4 when you get to the till. As most of you already know, the company is working on a realistic racer of its own for the PlayStation 2 entitled Enthusia: Professional Racing.
Echoing the true-to-life aspirations of the game designers, Enthusia will give virtual drivers the chance to get right down to the metal to fine-tune their performance around the real and imagined tracks found in the game.
The major unique feature offered by Enthusia is the Virtual Gravity System (VGS).
This is an on-screen ball-like display that shows you exactly where the car is feeling pressure and how tires are wearing down during races. You can then use this information to tweak your car and shave a few more seconds from your fastest times.
And while Enthusia is predominantly about the driving experience, that's not to say that the designers have forgotten that people like to look at the sexy cars too.
Hundreds of cars from more than 40 manufacturers have been carefully modelled, including custom-built sport cars, like Japanese car developer Autoback's Garaiya.
Enthusia - Professional Racing will be released exclusively on PlayStation 2 during 2005.
