KOF: Max Impact Headed for Europe
More on SNK's first foray into 3D KOF.
There are few companies that have managed to gather as rabid a fanbase as Japanese developer SNK. Over the years its 2D franchises have served to massage the ache of hardcore gamers the world over, who have pledged undying support for the company in return.
But, after earlier financial turmoil, the company is making certain concessions, and pushing its core franchises into the realm of 3D is just one of them. Case in point - next year, Europe will see the first ever King Of Fighters game in 3D.
In addition to the fancy 3D visuals, King Of Fighters: Maximum Impact will also open up the gameplay, giving less experience players a chance to tweak the numerous combo hit systems to suit their playing style more.
To celebrate this transition of the King Of Fighters series, the European version of King Of Fighters: Maximum Impact will also come with a behind-the-scenes DVD chronicling the history of the seminal series.
King Of Fighters: Maximum Impact will be released for PS2 in February.
