Atari Declares Act Of War
PC strategy Act Of War in sight.
A famous philosopher once asked what war was good for. Videogames might not have been the answer he had in mind, but the two have proven to go hand in hand remarkably well.
Act Of War: Direct Action is a new real-time strategy title for PC set in the near future, where gamers will face a geopolitical landscape unsettlingly familiar to regular news followers.
The story for the game and the world it takes place in were created by best-selling author Dale Brown, who is well known for his attention to the details of modern military conflict.
This sense of realism is extended to the individual units and terrain, which are all based on current military hardware.
Atari, the game's publisher, has also launched the official site for the Act Of War, which can be found at www.atari.com/actofwar.
Act Of War: Direct Action is on track for release exclusively on PC in spring 2005.
