Lineage Swells with Hefty Update

With the dust still settling after the European release of Lineage II: The Chaotic Chronicle in November, NCsoft has revealed that the first update to the online multiplayer title is ready for download.
The expansion, entitled Chronicle 2: Age Of Splendor, comes in at a hefty 500MB and includes both new areas and new ways of enjoying the game's persistent virtual world.
Foremost among the additions are three varied regions, each of which provides players with a new experience. There are also new monsters, new spells and a gambling system in which players can wager and win 'adena', the in-game currency.
"This is a gigantic expansion of the game which, along with the new zones, castle and gambling, includes 18 new quests, 83 new raid monsters, enhancements to clan halls, new weapons, spells and countless improvements to player quality of life," says Aaron Rigby, one of the producers for the game.
"What we've added to Chronicle 2 provides players with a very rich, deep experience that makes for a fun online adventure."
The free Chronicle 2: Age Of Splendor expansion is available for automatic download right now. The official Web site for the game is at www.lineage2.com.
