Sony Europe Announces Nine for PSP
Euro titles announced, including hot racers WipEout Pure, WRC and Ridge Racers - new videos included inside.
After months of silence on the issue, Sony's European arm has revealed nine titles it is currently working on for PSP.
WipEout Pure - looking sensationalThe newly announced games include several that launched this past weekend in Japan, but there are unannounced games too, some in series nearly forgotten in Europe.
Namco's Ridge Racers coming to EuropeThe nine games cover a wide range of genres, and, while no firm release dates have been given, it's a given that several will appear in shops alongside the PSP when it launches.
Sony is also churning out a WRC title for PSPThe nine games Sony is bringing to the PSP in Europe are:
- Ape Academy - two-player monkey-themed antics on one PSP
- Everybody's Golf - golf game with simple yet addictive gameplay
- Fired Up - vehicular combat with up to eight players
- Football (working title) - footy with an emphasis on multiplayer
- Formula One - all the authentic cars and tracks right in your palm
- MediEvil - cowardly Sir Dan returns in spooky action game
- Ridge Racer - latest instalment in the long-running driving series
- WipeOut Pure - adrenaline-laced racing series' portable debut
- WRC - wireless multiplayer and car damage in official rallies
All nine titles are pencilled in for launch in spring 2005, around the same time we can expect the PSP itself to arrive.
