GTA: San Andreas Moves to Xbox
Rockstar makes the announcement that everyone secretly expected - more GTA in June.
Financial reports are usually a dull affair, but every so often there's something to interest the rest of us.
So it was with publisher Take-Two on Thursday, who used the opportunity of its quarterly earnings report to reveal that Carl Johnson and the rest of the gang from developer Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas are headed to the Xbox.
This news is not all that surprising, given that Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City have both made their way onto Microsoft's console after a period of exclusivity on PlayStation 2.
There has been no mention of possible improvements to the game, though its likely that there the game will benefit from an extra layer of polish, as was the case with its two predecessors.
The game's graphics, too, will likely be improved to take advantage of the extra muscle offered by the Xbox.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for the Xbox and PC will be in stores in North America on June 7th, 2005 and in Europe on June 10th, 2005.
