A Closer Look at PSP Football
Offering a deep single-player mode and also various challenge modes, it says here.
A quick glance at the UK sales charts reveals an obvious thing about the European videogame market - football games sell. And it's with this in mind that Sony is working on a football title of its own to launch alongside the PSP in Europe this spring.
Currently simply titled Football, the game's main feature is wireless multiplayer, which will allow you and an opponent to duke it out for bragging rights. If you don't happen to have a friend with a PSP, then the handheld's alert system will let you know when someone walks within range.
Sony is also planning to push the multiplayer component further in future editions, allowing up to eight people to kick it about.
As a portable game, Sony is developing Football to take advantage everything that allows, including a deep single-player mode and also various challenge modes where you'll be able to play against friends for high scores.
And with over 150 international and club teams to choose from a gameplay design built around progression, you can expect to have Football stuck in your PSP for a long time.
Sony is planning to release Football right around the same time as the PSP in spring 2005.
