The Prince Nears 2m in UK
PoP2 shines despute the Christmas bustle.
Last year, Ubisoft's re-imagining of Prince Of Persia got lost in the Christmas bustle - a statistic the company was keen to avoid repeating this year. It seems to have worked.
Since the debut of Prince Of Persia: Warrior Within in early November, the game has gone on to sell 1.8 million copies.
This more than doubles the sales of its predecessor - no mean feat when you consider the big names that have been released in the same window.
"With this second opus for the Prince Of Persia brand, Ubisoft proves once again its ability to firmly establish its brands during a holiday season exceptionally rich in hit titles," said Yves Guillemot, president and CEO of Ubisoft.
