Sony Preps RPG for US PSP Launch
Untold Legends: Brotherhood Of The Blade is a fantasy-themed RPG set to launch in the US.
One of the defining characteristics of the Sony's new handheld, the PSP, is its wireless connectivity. Untold Legends: Brotherhood Of The Blade is a new game being developed in the US with an eye to giving gamers a chance to flex their RPG muscles while playing along wirelessly with other PSP owners.
The game, which is being worked on by EverQuest and Star Wars Galaxies creator Sony Online Entertainment, is a fantasy-themed RPG in which you join other players to defeat monsters in randomly created environments and restore good to the city of Aven.
It's not clear yet exactly how the wireless multiplayer will be used or how many people can play together, but it seems that gameplay is limited to PSPs in direct contact.
As with most games of this kind, character customisation is high on the spec sheet. You'll be able to assume one of four races - each of which can use unique sets of skills - and you can tinker until it looks just how you want it to look.
Untold Legends: Brotherhood Of The Blade is being prepared to launch with the PSP, which should happen some time by the end of March in both North America and Europe.
