Need For Speed Retains the Lead
Last year ended in much the same way as it 2004, with EA at the top of the charts.
With little in the way of new releases at the tail of the year, 2004 ended in much the same way as it did in 2003 - with EA at the top of the charts.
The latest sales charts for the UK have EA's Need For Speed Underground 2 keeping the no. 1 position ahead of the tenacious Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
The Incredibles, still riding strong as its parent movie excels at the box office, nudged Call Of Duty: Finest Hour down a spot, while FIFA 2005 ended up in the top five for yet another week.
Now that the new year is under way, we can expect to see publishers returning to the business of releasing games, but with no major titles scheduled for release in January the current top-runners could see themselves on top for a while still.
Here are the top ten games for the week ending 25 December as determined by Chart Track.
- Need For Speed: Underground 2 (EA)
- Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (Rockstar)
- The Incredibles (THQ)
- Call Of Duty: Finest Hour (Activision)
- FIFA 2005 (EA)
- Prince Of Persia: Warrior Within (Ubisoft)
- Pro Evolution Soccer 4 (Konami)
- GoldenEye: Rogue Agent (EA)
- The Getaway: Black Monday (SCEE)
- The Simpsons: Hit & Run (VU Games)
