Microsoft Announces Age Of Empires III
Assume the role of a European nation with expansion on its mind. First details and screens.
Now that Christmas is out of the way, bossy people are suffering from a lack of micro-management possibilities. Microsoft has a game that should have them - and all the other 16 million fans of the series - covered.
The company has announced that it is working on a third game in its popular Age Of Empires PC real-time strategy series. Currently titled Age Of Empires III, the game starts where Age Of Empires: Age Of Kings stopped, with gamers assuming the role of a European nation with expansion on its mind.
During the course of the game you'll encounter new civilisations from across the globe that will try to slow your imperial ambitions. Aside from the enhanced graphics, gamers will also be able to try out new units and structures in a single-player campaign spanning three generations.
For an idea of what to expect from the game, have a look at the in-game screenshots below.
Age Of Empires III will be released exclusively for PC in the second half of 2005.
