Gran Turismo 4 Does a Million
In just the first two days of Japanese release, the biggest driving game ever does well.
The build-up to the release of Gran Turismo 4 in Japan didn't go quite as well as Sony would have liked, but it doesn't seem to have had much effect on the final result. Sony announced on Wednesday that in just its first two days on sale, shipments of Gran Turismo 4 have reached over a million.
Gran Turismo 4 suffered several setbacks during development, including delays and the removal of online play shortly before release. What it does offer is a lot of game, with nearly 700 cars, over 50 tracks and even a whole new game mode in the form of team-manager/replay director B-Spec mode.
Europeans will have to wait for the release of the game later this year to enjoy Gran Turismo 4's complexities for themselves.
