Mario and Friends Hit EA's Court
Details, screens and direct feed video of Nintendo characters in the upcoming NBA Street title.
For a portly plumber, Mario is quite an active guy. In just the past couple years, he has been seen fighting, playing tennis and golf, and he's soon to appear on the baseball diamond too. And now, thanks to a deal between Nintendo and EA, Mario and friends will be hitting the basketball court as well.
Mario, his brother Luigi and Peach will all be making guest appearances in the GameCube version of EA's over-the-top basketball title NBA Street V3. Not only that, but the game will include a Nintendo-themed court too.
"Nintendo's characters have always proved they can compete on the world stage," says Nintendo's George Harrison. "Now they'll show that they can compete on the streets as well."
NBA Street V3 will be released for GameCube, Xbox and PlayStation 2 on 18 February.
