Atari Reveals Time Shifting Shooter
It's the first remotely exciting thing on Atari's release schedule in absolutely ages!
One of the realities of life is that time marches cruelly on. Thankfully, games are not similarly constrained. TimeShift is a new first-person shooter that allows you to bend and twist time as you see fit.
And it's not just the now-commonplace slowing down of time either, though that's there too. In TimeShift you're able to step back and forth through time or stop it altogether to solve puzzles, kill enemies and progress through the game's intricate story.
Of course, all the other trappings of the genre are there too, including the bulging armoury of traditional weapons. Each has been given a slight twist by developer Saber Interactive, with the promise of graphical innovation.
TimeShift will be released by Atari this autumn for PC and Xbox.
