RuneScape Hits Another Milestone
Browser-based MMORPG brings magic to masses.
If you've been playing RuneScape lately, you may have noticed the game's persistent online world becoming more crowded. The browser-based massively multiplayer RPG now has more than 200,000 people that pay to call it home - 50,000 more than in November.
While the game is free to play by anyone who can point a browser at www.runescape.com, subscribers are offered enhanced features, including a bigger world map, extra quests and better skills.
According to developer Jagex's managing director, Constant Tedder, it's the steady upgrades applied to the game that are drawing people in.
"By releasing new content updates every week there is always new fun and challenging things to do in RuneScape," said Tedder.
