Forza Car Line-Up Revealed
Microsoft's answer to Gran Turismo sees garage fill up.
Where once Gran Turismo reigned the driving simulation genre unperturbed, this year will see Sony's long-running series face its stiffest opposition yet. One of the games trying to grasp the crown is Microsoft's Forza Motorsport for Xbox.
Earlier this week, Microsoft revealed the final car list for the game. All told, there will be 231 cars in the game. The list covers the stock Nissans and Fords we've come to expect in games of this sort, but the inclusion of all-but-unattainable Ferraris and Bentleys and factory-modified racers will thrill car enthusiasts.
But what really sets the game apart for most people is a feature not often seen in more-realistic driving games: damage. You can honour the years of work that the developers put into meticulously recreating all the cars by smashing their work into obstacles and opponents.
And it's not just cosmetic either - batter your car and it'll perform noticeably worse.
The game is also sidling into Need For Speed Underground territory by allowing you to modify your cars will all manner of accessories, including spoilers, body-kits and decals from well-known after-market suppliers.
Forza Motorsport will be released exclusively for Xbox this March.
