Namco Launches Ace Combat Site
What game can be without one these days?
Namco will soon allow wannabe Mavericks around the world to live out their Top Gun fantasies with the release of Ace Combat: Squadron Leader for PlayStation 2. To prepare the masses for the game's release, the company has launched the official Ace Combat: Squadron Leader Web site.
Ace Combat: Squadron Leader puts you at the controls of accurately recreated military planes from around the world as an esoteric story involving mythical demons unfurls around you. The long-running series has been hailed for its awesome graphics and attention to detail and for not squeezing the fun out of the experience.
Just as exciting is the competition that's currently running at the Ace Combat site. The winner of the contest will be flown to Los Angeles where a twin-seat SF260 fighter trainer sits waiting. This military flight simulator is normally used for training NATO pilots, but on the day the winner will barrel-roll and dogfight to their heart's content.
Ace Combat: Squadron Leader will be released in Europe on 23 February.
