Activision Delays Doom, Adds to Duty
Long-awaited FPS pushed back again.
Despite being released for PC back in August, Doom 3 for Xbox is still very much a work in progress. Activision confirmed today that we wouldn't be seeing the game hit Microsoft's console any time before April.
The revelation came during the company's year-end financial report. Both the PC expansion pack for the PC version and the Xbox version will now be released later this year.
There was good news for war-themed shooter fans, though, as Activision confirmed that it is working on sequels to both the recent PC and console versions of Call of Duty. No gameplay details are known at the moment, but both games will be in shops within the next year.
The series has proven to be a hit for Activision, with company CEO Ronald Doornink going so far as to predict that it might become Activision's best-selling franchise.
