PC and Xbox Doom Games in April
Delay turns out to not be much of a delay after all.
During its recent financial report, publisher Activision said that the Xbox conversion of Doom 3 and the PC expansion pack for the PC game would both be pushed back until the company's next financial year, which begins in April, sparking fears that both games had been delayed. But Activision has allayed those concerns by confirming that both titles will be in stores on 4 April.
Doom 3 for Xbox is largely the same game that appeared on the PC in August 2004 but with the substantial addition of competitive and co-operative online play over Xbox Live.
The PC expansion pack, Doom 3: Resurrection Of Evil, picks up two years after the events on Mars detailed in Doom 3, tasking you with battling a new demon army. The game includes new enemies and weapons and also new time-manipulating powers.
