Nintendo Unveils Spring Line-Up
Support for all three pillars included.
With the January doldrums behinds us, publishers are gearing up to start releasing games at a respectable rate again. Nintendo has announced its line-up for this spring and it includes solid support for all three of the company's current consoles.
The GameCube is not in the best position in the current hardware race, lagging behind the Xbox in third place. But that isn't stopping Nintendo from giving its boxy console some good games in the coming months.
During spring, gamers will be able to pick up the card-based RPG Baten Kaitos, Fox McCloud's new action game Star Fox Assault, and a second, more eclectic collection of thump-along songs for Nintendo's bongo drums in Donkey Konga 2: Hit Song Parade.
True to Nintendo's commitment to support both the Nintendo DS and the Game Boy Advance, owners of the latter can look forward to some highly anticipated titles, including Square Enix's portable continuation of the Kingdom Hearts story and the next game in the successful Wario Ware series, which features a tilt sensor this time for a more active experience.
March sees the release of the Nintendo DS in Europe and 15 games are slated to be available on launch day. Things quieten down a little after that, but Nintendo will be bringing Yoshi's Touch & Go, a new game where you guide Yoshi and Baby Mario through the game's colourful world using the stylus and touch screen.
