America's Army Hits This Summer
New screens from the console versions included.
Much like the 1.2 million-strong real thing, there's little that can stop America's Army the game. After conquering PC gaming as a freely downloadable game-cum-recruitment tool and then a packaged product, Ubisoft is teaming up with the US Army to bring America's Army to PlayStation 2 and Xbox.
America's Army: Rise of a Soldier allows you to create a character from scratch before sending him off to boot camp and the terrors that lie beyond.
The game features a story mode that follows your character from his first days in those uncomfortable boots all the way to the peak of his career as a Special Forces team leader. There's no set career track, so you can choose to specialise in whatever combat skill that tickles your fancy.
War is not a solitary process, though, and you'll be able to tackle the game in co-operative multiplayer or play online with up to 15 other people.
America's Army: Rise Of A Solider will be released for Xbox and PlayStation 2 this summer.
