World Racing 2 Gets New Mode
Fresh screens for TDK's upcoming racer.
Simulation-style racing games are everywhere, which is why developer Synetic has taken the simulation basis of its driving game World Racing and, in the company's words, "put the fun of driving at centre stage" to create a more arcade-like experience for World Racing 2.
Of course, the game will still come with the usual racing game trappings, including a wide selection of tracks and a varied stable of cars, including that classic British muscle car, the AC Cobra. You'll also be able to customise your cars using after-market vinyl decals, adding that extra bit of personality.
World Racing 2 will also include a new scenario called the Race Centre, which allows you to choose a car and push it as far as it will go in a test environment, so that you can see the performance of the car under various conditions and figure out how to get the most out of each one. More than a dozen different courses are available in the Race Centre mode.
World Racing 2 is set for release on PC, Xbox and PlayStation 2 later this year.
