Makai Kingdom Coming Stateside
First screens and details for the next tactical RPG from the creators of Disgaea and Phantom Brave
Nippon Ichi, the developers behind Disgaea and the recently released Phantom Brave, are back with another tactical RPG. Titled Makai Kingdom: Chronicles of the Sacred Tome, the game places you in the role of Lord Zetta, displaced ruler of the underworld, as he attempts to reclaim his lost kingdom.
Lest they be accused of becoming complacent, the developers at Nippon Ichi have mixed up the gameplay again. This time you can build various facilities, such as weapons factories and hospitals, and transport them into battles. The battle maps are also randomly generated.
Makai Kingdom: Chronicles of the Sacred Tome has been confirmed for release on PlayStation 2 in North America later this year. There's no word yet of the game being brought to Europe.
