SCi Announces Total Overdose
Guns, drugs, desert and gringos. First screens and details for new action-packed explosion-fest.
Things have not been going too well for Ramiro Cruz, the star of SCi's new action game Total Overdose. Not only did he lose his father under suspicious circumstances during a government agency job gone awry, but now his twin brother Tommy, who has been working undercover on the case, has been injured as well.
Tommy and Ramiro's father was killed while working with the US Drug Enforcement Agency in Mexico and now it's up to Ramiro to blast his way into the Mexican drug cartel to find out what happened to their father.
The game comes from the Grand Theft Auto school of game design. The central story of uncovering the details behind Ramiro's father's death is layered with stylised visuals and a freeform gameplay to make, what SCi calls, "an over-the-top, adrenalin-fuelled, free-style action, third-person cinematic adventure with a strong whiff of tequila".
Total Overdose will be released for PC, PlayStation 2 and Xbox this summer.
