Sony Teams Up with Fox for 24: The Game
Experience one of Jack Bauer's exhausting days for yourself. First screens and details inside.
Having one bad day is, er, bad enough, but 24's Jack Bauer is already on his fourth. Later this year, Sony will give fans of the temporally accurate TV series a chance to flex their counter-terrorist muscles in 24: The Game.
24: The Game is set between seasons two and three of the award-winning series. Playing as Jack Bauer and other characters from the show and surrounded by a host of familiar faces, you guide the cast through a brand-new story that also promises to tie up some of the loose ends left by season two's conclusion.
Those in the know will feel right at home in 24: The Game, as Sony is working closely with everyone at Twentieth Century Fox involved in making the TV series to ensure that the game is as authentic as possible. The main cast, including Kiefer Sutherland and Elisha Cuthbert, will reprise their roles, while the scriptwriters and visual designers are working closely with the game developers to bring the familiar ambience to the experience.
The developers at Sony's studios in Cambridge are working to make 24: The Game a varied experience. Much like the multiple perspectives to the story, gameplay is multi-pronged and will offer stealth and puzzle section in addition to the expected all-guns-blazing action sequences.
24: The Game will be released exclusively for PlayStation 2 this autumn.
