Nintendo Plans Massive Store for NYC
All the Mario and Pokémon-themed goodies you can carry - self-respect optional.
Back your bags, Nintendo fans - the company has a new holiday spot just for you. This spring Nintendo will open a new store named Nintendo World in New York City.
Sporting two floors of Nintendo madness, Nintendo World will be the new home for the Pokémon Centre, where kids and adults pretending to be kids can get all the Pokémon branded stuff they could possibly want.
Of course, this being a Nintendo store, all the current hardware will be there for you to try as well. The rest of the store will be packed to the rafters with Nintendo goodies, including games, merchandise, accessories and trading cards.
There's no definite opening date yet, but the company is eyeing an unspecified date during this spring. Nintendo is no doubt planning a lavish opening ceremony starring that mustachioed plumber right now.
