The Xbox is Doomed
Id's lauded shooter readied for its console debut.
Just less than six months after setting the PC sales charts on fire, Doom 3 is primed to do the same on Xbox. The conversion process from PC to console has been a trying and drawn out one, but at long last Doom 3 is headed to stores.
To celebrate the auspicious occasion, Activision has released a handful of new screenshots, which show off the new inclusion in the Xbox version of Doom 3 - co-operative multiplayer. Now you're able to bring someone along, to hold your hand when the lights go out and the Martian hellspawn attack.
The PC version of the game - itself being spruced up this week with the Resurrection Of Evil expansion pack - was adored by reviewers the world over and shooter fans have been eagerly awaiting the Xbox conversion ever since.
A big bonus for Xbox owners is that the developers at Vicarious Visions have been able to keep up the quality of the graphics, which just six months ago sent thousands of PC gamers into stores for new video cards.
Doom 3 for Xbox will be released in the UK on Friday, April 8th.
