Connery Back as Bond in New EA Game
The first - and best, we say - Bond confirms he will take part in EA's upcoming From Russie With Love game.
He's been around since the mid '60s, more than a handful of actors of portrayed him and he's as popular as ever. No, we're not talking about Dr. Who but rather that suave spy who wrecked a thousand marriages - James Bond. And now that video game companies are mining classic flicks for source material, it should come as no surprise that EA is going back to the character's roots to adapt From Russia With Love for PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube.
What is surprising - in a good way - is that EA has managed to secure Sean Connery who will reprise his defining role. Connery, who had sworn to never do another Bond part again, will be joined by most of the original cast from the movie.
"As an artist, I see this as another way to explore the creative process," Connery told the Hollywood Reporter. "Video games are an extremely popular form of entertainment today, and I am looking forward to seeing how it all fits together."
From Russia With Love is currently on track for release at the end of the year and will no doubt feature prominently at E3 next month.
