Dead to Rights Brings Canine Justice to PSP
Namco's man-plus-dog action game goes portable. First screens and details inside.
Dead to Rights is a retelling of the classic tale of a man and his dog out for violent justice. The original game for Xbox did well enough that a console sequel is already in the works and Namco has announced that the PSP will be getting its own version too.
Dead to Rights: Reckoning picks up the story where Jack Slate gets wind that an informant in a case against Grant City Mob boss Whisper has gone missing. Slate and his faithful sidekick Shadow are brought in to bring back the informant and make sure that the baddies get a toothy helping of justice in the process.
The power of the PSP means that Namco has been able to maintain the series' trademark features. Shadow is still your most lethal weapon and he can be commanded to attack enemies and watch your back. Jack, on the other hand, can use slow-mo dives and an arsenal of weaponry to bring down the ne'er-do-wells. Namco has also added a head-to-head deathmatch mode via wireless multiplayer to keep you playing once you've finished the story mode.
Dead to Rights: Reckoning will be released exclusively on PSP later this year.
