EA Teases with Next-Gen Madden Pics
The first big game on PlayStation 2 could spawn the first big game on Xbox 360. Next-gen pics inside!
This weekend the American National Football League will hold its annual draft, sending college and high school gridiron players to their destinies at the league's pro teams. The NFL draft is a high-profile event watched by millions of football fanatics, which explains why EA is using it as a launching point for its next-generation instalment of the Madden football series.
EA has prepared a 60-second commercial for the next-gen version of Madden 2006 that will air during the first hour of ESPN's coverage of the draft. In the run-up to the event, EA has been teasing visitors to the official Madden 2006 site with images taken from the game.
The company has avoided stating directly which next-generation console Madden 2006 is for, but the end-of-year launch date for the console suggests that it's for the Xbox successor and not PlayStation 3, which isn't expected until next year.
