Wario Twists Back on to GBA This Summer
Nintendo's anti-Mario finally makes his way back on to the Game Boy Advance.
For all the talk among top industry players of games being too complex, few publishers are actually trying to release games that are instantly accessible and that can be enjoyed by nearly everyone.
One of the best examples of a simplicity done right is Nintendo's WarioWare series. The first game debuted to critical and popular acclaim on Game Boy Advance, then WarioWare: Touched! launched alongside the Nintendo DS, and now WarioWare: Twisted! mixes up the formula again as it heads to the Game Boy Advance.
This latest WarioWare experience uses a special cartridge that contains a gyroscope to sense when the handheld is being tilted. Taking this simple premise as their starting point, the developers have designed a new batch of over 200 mini-games that avoid using the regular control pad at all.
The game features a largely superfluous story starring the wacky WarioWare cast and allows you to unlock over 130 extra, including mini-games and other tchotchkes.
WarioWare: Twisted! will be out in the Europe for Game Boy Advance on 24 June.
