EverQuest II Expands in Two New Add-Ons
Addicts, listen up: two fresh fixes headed your way later this year.
The already impressive scale of Sony's massively multiplayer online hit EverQuest II is looking to get bigger still in the near future with the release of two new add-ons to the popular title.
The first, EverQuest II: Desert of Flames, is a full expansion pack to EverQuest II that greatly extends the physical size of the game world and what players can do within it. The creature and item counts will get a healthy boost, but the real draw is the new Arabian Nights-themed city of Maj'dul, where, among other new features, you can fight as either yourself or a creature in a rejigged version of EverQuest II's combat system.
The other new addition to EverQuest II is a second adventure pack add-on. Like EverQuest II: Bloodline Chronicles before it, EverQuest II: The Splitpaw Saga adds story elements and solo and multiplayer missions, and there are new zones that automatically adjust themselves to better cater to the size and strength of your party.
EverQuest II: Desert of Flames will be released in stores in September while The Splitpaw Saga will be available only via download in June. To find out more, check out the respective official sites for Desert of Flames and The Splitpaw Saga.
