Mage Knight Takes on the Apocalypse
New videogame RPG based on the popular table-top RPG. Did we mention it's an RPG? First screens.
If you've been into a comic or war game store lately, you'll have noticed that collectible miniature games are on the rise. One of the more popular of the recent upstarts is Mage Knight, which has now been tapped for videogame treatment.
Mage Knight: Apocalypse is an action RPG that retains the strong team elements of its source material, allowing up to five players to team up on the quest to bring down the Apocalypse Dragon - a five-headed monster that leads the forces of Chaos.
How you grow in the game is determined by how you live. Playing in one of five character classes, your character develops through experience, in the more traditional sense of the word. So, for instance, the more often you use magic, the more powerful it will become, and the system works similarly for the other character types.
Mage Knight: Apocalypse will be released only on PC in spring 2006. For more information, check out Namco's official site.
