Top Spin Lobbed on to PlayStation 2
It's been on the Xbox for nearly two years already, but it's so good that we don't mind seeing it come to PlayStation 2 only now.
Tennis games have come a long way since Pong paddled up a storm in the 1970s, and one of the best current virtualisations of the sport is the widely acclaimed Top Spin. The game was a hit on Xbox when it was released nearly two years ago, and now it's bringing its winning formula over to PlayStation 2.
The most noticeable change from the Xbox version will be the roster of players, which has been updated to include current tennis stars. New it girl Maria Sharapova is there, as are Roger Federer, Venus Williams and Carlos Moya.
No screenshots have been released yet, so it's impossible to tell whether the designers at PAM Development have been able to maintain the graphics quality of the Xbox version, but the much-loved online mode has been included.
We'll see soon enough how things are faring visually, though, as Top Spin is set for release on PlayStation 2 this summer.
