Football Manager Goes Portable

If you don't get enough of staring at statistics at work, perhaps you'd be interested in a portable football management simulation. This is precisely what Sega is hoping with the announcement that the company working on a portable instalment of its popular Football Manager series for PSP.
Football Manager 2006 boasts a new interface and has been designed with pick-up-and-play sessions in mind. But the most important bit is that its crammed with all the numbers from developer Sports Interactive's swollen database of player, club and league information.
You'll be able to do just about everything you could in the home versions, including managing the full 30-man squads of local and international teams, negotiating transfers and following - and influencing - the run of matches.
"Football Manager is well-known as being a game that people carry with them in their hearts and minds," said Sports Interactive's Miles Jacobson, "and pretty soon they'll be able to carry it in their pockets too. "
Football Manager 2006 will be out for PSP this winter.
