E3: GTA PSP Named and Dated
Details announced at SCEE's E3 conference.
After months of dodging the issue, Sony Europe revealed today that its new PSP handheld would launch in Europe on 1 September. And while there are already many games that make the PSP a worthwhile purchase, one of the best reasons is Rockstar's new Grand Theft Auto title.
Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories takes you back to Liberty City, setting for the best-selling Grand Theft Auto 3, for a brand new adventure featuring all-new missions and a unique storyline.
Rockstar is not showing off its hotly anticipated game quite yet, but the company does seem eager to recapture the magic that helped rejuvenate the series four years ago in Grand Theft Auto 3 while still giving gamers something new to experience.
Development on Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories is already well underway at Rockstar's Leeds studio, but the company has not nailed down a release date yet. That said, we can expect to see the game arrive for PSP soon after the European launch of the PSP in September.
