E3: MGS4 Slated for PS3
Snake fans are going to have a lot more sneaking to look forward to - Konami is working on three new Metal Gear games.
While it's been known for some time now that Metal Gear Solid 4 is in the works, it was confirmed at Konami's E3 press conference earlier this week that the game is headed to Sony's new PlayStation 3.
It's still early days for the game but Konami did say that Hideo Kojima, the man behind the Metal Gear Solid series, would again be involved in the game's creation. Metal Gear Solid 4 will pick up the story where Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty left off, and Konami has hinted at big changes to the gameplay. There will also be an online mode.
There's a new version of the recently released PlayStation 2 Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater coming called Metal Gear Solid 3: Substinence, which includes all the extras included in the European version of the game and also new movie clips and, perhaps most importantly, a fully player-controlled camera.
And while Metal Gear Acid, the card-based strategy game for PSP, has yet to hit Europe, a sequel to the game has already been announced. The development team is looking to give the graphics a more colourful look and will also give more screen time to classic series characters such as Revolver Ocelot.
