Peter Jackson's King Kong - First Screens
The Lord of the Rings director is bringing the big ape to life and Ubisoft is right there, every step of the way.
He's big, he's hairy, and he has no trouble climbing buildings, and soon Peter Jackson will be reinventing King Kong for the 21st century. The videogame tie-in for Peter Jackson's King Kong - that's the official title - is already well underway at Ubisoft, which is working closely with the movie's crew and the Weta Digital special effects team to ensure a thrilling experience.
The game brings an interesting mix of gameplay styles, allowing you to play some parts as lead character Jack Driscoll in first-person mode and others as the big ape himself, from a third-person view.
And while you'll be able to play through all the main scenes from the movie, Ubisoft has also expanded the experience with extra scenes designed to get you more involved in the story. Some of these will feature creatures designed by Weta Digital exclusively for the game.
Both the game, slated for Xbox, PlayStation 2, GameCube and Xbox 360, and the movie will be out in December.
