Call of Duty 3 Already in the Works?
Call of Duty 2 isn't even out yet but Infinity Wards appears to be forging ahead with work on the sequel.
Have you ever put on your trousers after leaving the house, or got in the bath before running in water? There's usually a certain order to things, something Infinity Ward clearly has no regard for, as the company has seemingly revealed that it is working on Call of Duty 3, months before its predecessor even arrives on PC and Xbox 360 later this year.
Call of Duty 2 was one of the few games that were playable - well, playable by the devs, that is - at Microsoft's Xbox 360 stand at E3, where it drew constant crowds of gamers eager for a glimpse into the future of gaming.
However, neither Infinity Ward nor publisher Activision are talking about the next instalment, and except for a job listing that suggests Call of Duty 3 may be bound for more than one next-gen console, nothing is known about the game right now.
In the meantime though, you'll be able to tell if a sequel is worthy of your attention by picking up the Call of Duty 2 later this year.
