Fragmented Adventure in Killer 7
The game has been delayed for a while now, but at long last we'll finally get to live the lives of the secret seven. Latest screens inside.
Capcom's new action adventure game proves that the only thing better than one killer is seven killers - in this case, all of them being part of the fragmented personality of assassin Harlan Smith.
Killer 7, as the game is officially known, is an experiment in game design, where you're able to switch between any of Harlan's seven personalities at will. Each is endowed with unique abilities, be it a proclivity for sniping, strength or just good old-fashioned tenacity in the face of death, which you'll have to use to get rid of a variety of nasties.
The game takes place in the seedy criminal underworld of a seemingly idyllic world where gang boss Kun Lan has unleashed a horrible wave of attacks on the city by a cadre of baddies known as the Heaven's Smile. It is Smith's (actually, the Smiths') task to get rid of these vermin before they bring the whole city down.
The biggest selling point for Killer 7 - apart from the obvious multiple personalities - is the off-kilter art style that permeates the game (see the screenshots below for a taste).
Killer 7 will be released for PlayStation 2 and GameCube in North America on July 7th and in Europe on July 15th.
