Sam Fisher Sets a Date With DS
Super-spy preps for insertion into the battlefield that is Nintendo's dual-screen portable.
Things have been quiet on the DS front for a while now, but the handheld looks like it's about to hit its second wind. Besides Nintendo, which is itself putting final touches on games, third party publishers such as Ubisoft are getting their games ready for launch in Europe.
Coming up from Ubisoft in less than a month is the DS debut of that manly man, Sam Fisher, who brings his unique blend of espionage, stealth and all-around butt-kicking to the portable in the shape of Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.
The controls for the game have been redesigned to let you use the touch-screen, and the developers have also added new moves and gadgets just for this version.
And if the thought of gaming on your own is soul-crushing, you'll be pleased to hear that Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory for DS includes two new wireless multiplayer modes, where you can play either with or against other players.
The DS version of Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory will be in stores on 1 July.
