Vin Diesel Heads Up Hitman Cast
And there is talk that Eidos will be using him for reference in later games too.
In the Hitman games, Agent 47 is the epitome of both lethality and zen-like centeredness, which are precisely the descriptors that spring to mind when you think of Vin Diesel - or so 20th Century Fox hopes.
Diesel has signed on to play the glabrous assassin in the studio's upcoming movie adaptation of the Hitman series, according to an article in the Hollywood Reporter.
What's more, Eidos is reportedly planning to involve Diesel's game production company, Tigon Studios, in a follow-up to Hitman: Blood Money to include the actor's likeness and voice. Eidos is so far refusing to confirm Diesel's video game involvement.
The Hitman franchise has been a big success for Eidos, selling more than 8 million copies since it debuted in 2000.
Agent 47's next video game outing will be in the aforementioned Hitman: Blood Money, which, after a few delays during development, should be in stores this later this year.
