Project Gotham 3 for Xbox 360 Detailed
Bizarre's highly anticipated next-gen racer will mix up the old formula. New screens.
Despite the launch of Xbox 360 being just months away now, there's still relatively little known about some of Microsoft's core titles. One game that is confirmed for release this year that is still blanketed in secrecy is Project Gotham Racing 3.
On it's surface, Project Gotham Racing 3 appears to be the same as previous instalment, only gussied up thanks to the power of Xbox 360. But developer Bizarre Creations has added in a few new tricks to keep old and new alike playing.
One of the biggest changes to the game system is how users access different parts of the game.
Previously, you had to complete certain objectives to unlock new cars and cities, whereas for this newest iteration those constraints have been removed. The basic gameplay of earning Kudos for stylish driving is still central to the experience.
Where the game is opened up is through online play. Now you can not only race against drivers scattered throughout the world, but you can also learn by watching others race in the new online spectator GothamTV mode.
There are no specific launch details for Project Gotham Racing 3, but it is expected to launch alongside the Xbox 360 at the end of the year.
