Konami Shows Off Pro Evo 5
First screens for what will ilkely be the series' swansong on current-gen consoles.
Last week's announcement of the next Winning Eleven game for Japan meant that Pro Evolution Soccer 5's official unveiling wouldn't be far off. Konami has confirmed that the next instalment in the chart-topping football series will be released for PC and home consoles towards the end of the year.
As with past games in the series, achieving yet more realism is the main goal. Producer Shingo "Seabass" Takatsuka will once again head up the development team, which is focussed on prettying up the visuals and making for an all-around smoother football experience.
Expect familiar faces to be adorning the game and its promotional campaign too. England defender John Terry, a self-professed die-hard fan of the series, has signed with Konami to be one of the cover stars for Pro Evolution Soccer 5.
Pro Evolution Soccer 5 will be out for PC, Xbox and PlayStation 2 this autumn. Check out the first screens for the game below.
