GTA Fends of Batman and Nazis on Charts
Another week on top for the gangster game, despite strong new releases.
While there was no change at the top of Chart Track's most recent UK sales chart, this week is notable for the appearance of three new entries in the top 10.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas laid claim to another week in the No. 1 position, but incoming World War II shooter Medal of Honor: European Assault vaulted into the next spot.
Coming in third for the week was THQ's driving game Juiced, which finally made it to stores nearly a year after it was originally supposed to. The game was delayed after publisher Acclaim folded during 2004.
Also debuting this week was the movie tie-in to Batman Begins, which began its own box office run this past weekend.
Below are the top 10 games in the UK for the week ending 18 June, as determined by Chart Track:
- Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (Rockstar)
- Medal of Honor: European Assault (EA)
- Juiced (THQ)
- Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (LucasArts)
- Lego Star Wars (Eidos)
- Batman Begins (EA)
- Area 51 (Midway)
- Pro Evolution Soccer 4 (Konami)
- Championship Manager 5 (Eidos)
- FIFA Street (EA)
