Game Guide Fires Up GT4 Experience
Shockingly comprehensive Official Guide from Piggyback meets challenge of busting the ultra-deep racer open.
There are some game guides with about twenty pages that are about as useful as this UKR joke. And then, there are guides like Piggyback's astonishing Gran Turismo 4 Official Guide.
The 300-odd page GT4 bible hit stores this month and represents an unfathomable effort on the part of the publisher, which quite literally spent a total of 40,000 hours playing the game in the past six months. It's a feat that saw the largest R&D team ever assembled at the Piggyback, thanks to the contributions of "expert drivers, specialist writers, mechanical engineers and thousands of GT4 gamers".
But much like Gran Turismo 4 itself, for all the hyperbole and statistics, it's the content that really makes this an essential purchase for driving enthusiasts. Not only is the book beautifully presented, with more top artwork than Polyphony Digital probably knew existed, but this is a guide that truly busts open the secrets of a limitless game, in that rare kind of style that's like a one-in-a-million prom queen: accessible and prepared to go all the way.
That means you can expect assistance in unlocking all 730 cars, gold on every license, advice on the most effective modding, secret menu shortcuts and tips, every track unlocked, reaching 100% in record time, expert Photo Mode advice and basically, tonnes more.
If you're one of many GT4 players who's been enjoying the superlative racer over the past few months, then this is about as important as the game itself. So now you know! Check here for more.
