Command Rolling Steel in EA Train Sim
If you want to pass the time waiting for trains by, er, controlling trains, then this is the game for you. First languid art.
Do you hate your morning commute? Do you look around you in disbelief, wondering why you pay so much for so little? Do you think you could do it better? Next year, EA and Kuju Entertainment will let you put your money where your disgust is as the companies pair up to work on a new train sim for PC.
Currently titled Rail Simulator, the game will let you command steam, diesel and electric trains on the rolling parallel seas of Germany and England. You'll also be able to map out your own routes, so if you think the best way to get to Manchester from London is via Plymouth then you can do just that.
Kuju is building on the success of its previous offering, Microsoft Train Simulator, which saw over 40 expansion packs and enraptured more than a million trainspotters.
According to EA's Paul Jackson, "Players will be able to enjoy a wide range of train environments; from the drama and romance of steam to the sheer power and sophistication of the latest high-speed locomotives."
Sounds just lovely.
