EA Takes SSX on Tour
The popular snowboarding franchise returns with...skiing? New screens.
EA has just the thing for those of you who can't handle the heatwave gripping the UK anymore - snow. Lots and lots of snow. But while this latest SSX title may look quite similar to its forebears, EA is preparing to expand the core concept further.
SSX on Tour, as the game is currently known, melds snowboarding and skiing and tasks you with building a legend. As you progress through career mode (after sculpting a fully customised character, of course), you'll boost both your stats and your reputation by taking part in the game's various races and challenges.
Gameplay has necessarily been tweaked to allow for your new skiing abilities, while the mammoth, gasp-inspiring special moves are now mapped to the right analogue stick. There are also 12 new courses for you to take apart.
SSX on Tour will be out for PlayStation 2, GameCube, Xbox and PSP towards the end of the year.
