Seriously Expanded Serious Sam Sequel
Just when you thought they couldn't ram more monsters into a brightly-coloured FPS. New screens.
It may be serious in title, but Take 2's first-person shooter franchise Serious Sam is anything but.
In the latest episode you'll have to guide lead character Sam Stone on an interplanetary journey to reclaim fragments of a mystical charm that will help him defeat the aptly named baddie, Mental.
Okay, so story might not be Serious Sam 2's strong point, but the developers seem determined to damage your brain via an adrenaline overload.
The game comes equipped with a new engine the creators claim will be used to fashion a world 100 times more complex than the previous games. The notoriously high enemy counts have increased and you'll now be able to slay those ne'er-do-wells from the backs of both vehicles and animals.
Serious Sam 2 will be out for PC and Xbox this autumn.
